Conference Facilities Available

Conference facilities are available at ICLP Arbitration Centre in the heart of Colombo.

Ideal for Arbitrations, Adjudications, Board meetings, Discussions, Lectures and seminars (for small audiences). Available facilities include AC Rooms, Multi media, Recording, Transcribing, PA system. Catering, etc with ample parking space.

TheICLP Arbitration Centre (Centre) is centrally located in spacious facilities in one of the prime office buildings in Colombo. The facilities provided by the Centre are broadly of two kinds, namely "physical" and "service". The physical facilities include

  • Six custom built, comfortable rooms which can be configured in a variety of ways to suit the parties' requirements.

  • Secure storage provision for documents and other exhibits.

  • A full range of telecommunication and other support services.

  • An Auditorium with PA System and recording facilities.


Services available relating to arbitration hearings by the Centre include:

  • Transcription.

  • Translation.

  • Catering.

  • The speedy dispatch of documents.


Information Service

The Centre provides free general information on dispute resolution by arbitration and maintains a growing library of books and publications which are available for reference to interested members of the public.


Selecting Arbitrators

The Centre is able to assist and make names available to potential parties who are unable to decide on suitable Arbitrators.In the event where the parties fail in agreeing on the appointment of a sole Arbitrator, the Centre shall act as the appointing authority. A list of qualified Arbitrators who have registered with ICLP is available for selection of arbitrators.


ICPL Code of Ethics for Arbitrators in Commercial Disputes

The institutional arbitrators would be be guided by the Code of Ethics of ICLP.
